… the authenticity of Outback Steakhouse ends right after the Fosters on the menu. … not been too impressed. … better grub in OZ itself. … I am guessing that Outback is the US interpretation of OZ food, but they've missed the mark. Kind of figured that. Ah, America's penchant for canned ambience, a...

Okay, what's a Winnemucca and can you get shots for it? A Nevada small city named for an Indian the whites called "One moccosin." Walking around the Great Basin with one shoe missing might have required a tetinus shot, but I don't think they were available in 1868 ... If Winnemucca ...

I meant to say there's a touristy/functioning mine in the city of Bendigo by that name and that the city reeks of old gold money! Nice buildings and "feel". We have "ghost towns" like that also here in the States. Virginia City, Nevada; Deadwood, South Dakota and the like. They ...

Whenever I try to see any of the videos that you all post links to, all I get on the Inyo County Library's computers are error messages that they don't have the latest version of Flash. I thought all you ...

Never noticed this thread before.

I guess I got here too late. Opened the URL and get a big X where the map should go. I guess Gravelrash put Australia on it and the map fell off and floated away into Cyberspace ...

Still no vital info on what a spiedie is. I noticed! David's spiedies are legendary around Panamint Valley and beyond by our extended Panamint family. Basically they boneless pieces of beef or chicken, cut bite sized, marinated in a sauce known and sold only around David's upstate New York re...

It was 1991 when I was there. ... Cozumel, Mexico ... I rented a car and drove around the entire island of Jamaica in 1991. Also spent part of a day at Cozumel, spent the other part at Playa Del Carmen on the mainland and exploring the pyramids. Was also at Cayman Islands. However, they seemed like...

So I did see you at the Mobil station in Big Pine this morning! I was riding with a friend and was coming down Crocker Street. A camo Blazer was at the gas pump and a tall thin man was just walking in. Wondered if that was you.

Welcome, Keith. Anyone with a Saline Valley salt tram tower in his avatar can't be all bad ... I see you've done the Swansea-Cerro Gordo loop, based upon your truck is sitting just out of the first narrow canyon stretch about 3.5 miles from Swansea.
