New guy with an XJ

Post by Loki_XJ »

I know I know... Cherokees are just glorified station wagons... Well let me introduce myself and tell you a little a out my rig. It's a built not bought kind of rig
Names mike, I'm from Bakersfield CA. I'm 30 and down to wheel with other people who are just out to enjoy the day.

I have an 89 cherokee, custom short arm 4" lift, 33x10.50 km2's locked Dana 44 rear open front. Sliders custom bumpers front and rear and an 8000LB winch.

Don't let the looks fool you, it's pretty capable...

I am hoping to do the isham trail soon. I am hoping to make spring fling this year too. Hopefully work will give me the time off! :)

Welcome to the forum Mike! Jeff from Ridgecrest here and I don't care what you wheel, it's all good!

I like your V-notch pic and the beginning of Freeway Ridge pics as well.

Nice to meet you Jeff, I'm kinda surprised you knew the freeway ridge trail just by the pic, my local group likes to do trails in redrock canyon and a few of our big rubber crew loves the trails in ridgecrest.

Welcome to the group. Nice to see someone else who understands that station wagons are the best off road vehicle  Your rig looks more than capable, and look forward to meeting you.

I've run a couple of trails with Infectious. Last August did a run to Swamp Lake with them, though not with my XJ.

Please take a moment and read the forum guidelines in this section. We're a pretty easy going group, but we do stay away from political and religious discussions, since they almost always end badly.

Hope to see you at Spring Fling.
